Defining Creative Writing

Creative writing expresses ideas and thoughts in an imaginative/inventive way. The writer expresses unique artistry, feelings/emotions and ideas in his work. Fiction, Poetry and Plays are defined as creative writing.
In non-creative writing, the writer talks mainly about facts: academic,-journalistic and technical writing.
Check out the interesting video  on creative writing I discovered on www.study.com:

Creative writing requires certain skills and a talent. Skills can be learned like grammar at school. All of us are talented in many unique ways. Talent is a natural ability, a gift, an aptitude.

I believe that creative writing requires the following:

·         Desire for creative expression in writing

·         Imaginative and or innovative skills

·         Passion to write!

·         Persistence, eagerness and patience in developing creative writing skills

·         Courage to ask for feedback on your creative writing

·         Be prepared for constructive criticism!

·         Practice, practice and practice.

I was always very artistic and loved arts and creative writing in school but disliked Mathematics and Physics. I did pursue my creative writing skills further through school and later on by simply writing privately.

I love creative writing for children. How did I become a creative writer? Read my next blog!

About my children's book 'My Fuzzy's World'

My engaging children’s tale shares the delightful imaginary world of Fuzzy, a wise plush lion who courageously pursues his dream while learning about the essence of family, friendship and diversity.

My goal was to crate a fun and educational book for young readers which offers unique journey. I gently enhanced my fine children's book for young readers with fine oil pastel drawings!

Meet Fuzzy, a delightful and wise plush lion cub with a big heart clasped between his paws and a vivid imaginary world in the Serengeti. When Fuzzy loses his family, he sets on a brave journey to fulfill his dream of finding a loving home.

Fuzzy courageously pursues his dream and is destined to be rewarded with a loving family and plush friends, who have great imaginations like his own. In a swish of his little furry tail, Fuzzy’s family happily welcomes a purple bear named Rudi, Lily, a lilac lamb, and Lulu, a pink sheep, among others. Fuzzy proudly learns vital lessons on family, friendship, and diversity while his life becomes enriched with true happiness and merry adventures.

Join Fuzzy and his friends and enjoy the magic of Fuzzy’s World where you will be encouraged to create your own dreams!

Once thing I can promise you for sure - I will take you and your young reader/readers on a fun and creative journey!

New Beginnings!

This might sound familiar to many of you: New Beginnings?

What does that mean?

Well, I believe that most of us desire new beginnings. A brand new start. Another chance to prove ourselves, to win or maybe just to try again. At work, at home, with our family, our friends, our boss(es), our children. We thrive to be fit again, listen better to other people, accomplish our daily to do lists. Maybe finally take that long planned time for a loved one, or a vacation. Some of us even start a 'bucket list' so we can label it with "one day, I will finally do it!.

This "phenomena" usually occurs at the beginning of each new year, or maybe just before the end of the old/past year.

Well, I just experienced it. many times throughout the years. I made my list of things I desperately want to accomplish. So I did. Just like many of you.

But did I really start on the list? Off course not, as I am always busy at work, at home-simply with life and its mysterious circumstances.

So here is my conclusion: Never give up to try another day! Persistence pays off.

There is always time for a new beginning. Like today. Today I decided to finally pick up on my passion for childrens' writing and illustrating.

And most importantly: promoting my children's book: 'My Fuzzy's World".

I did spent a whole year writing it back in 2009, self-published it and got it on Google books.

The time is now. No more excuses. It's never too late to follow your passion and revive it, even when busy times doesn't allow us to take a deep breath.

So I hope you will discover "My Fuzzy's World and promote it to your friends and family!

Happy Reading!
